"I have been going to Irene for 10 years, referred many clients her way due to the return I would get and the low fee for her services. Last year, I received a notice from the IRS regarding my 2021 taxes and money I owed. Irene explained the IRS changed something and I owed the money. Then, 4 weeks ago, I received a notice from the state of NJ that I owed money for my 2022 return. Irene claimed $4000k less than I brought in. I emailed her copies of the notice and my W2 from 2022, clearly showing the discrepancy. It took three calls for someone to answer. I was told my email went into junk mail. She said she would call me back the next day at 11 AM. I did not receive a call and reached out again, to which I was told that the phones were not working. The next call she said her systems were all down. More phone calls and messages were not returned, until today when I was told that I owed the money. I asked her to explain how this happened, I was told that what I owe NJ was not worth her taking the time to look into. "It is a nominal amount and I have clients that owe thousands". I said if you made a mistake, please just admit it. She would not and there was no apology; no effort to make me feel confident in her services in any way except. Stating that my money was not worth time she would spending in pulling my files to look into what happened. I am not one to post a review, nor to take the time to publicly write anything negative, but being told that my money does not matter by an accountant who made a mistake doing a service I paid for is wrong. I hope this saves someone the headache and unexpected money owed to the state right before the holidays."

"If 0 stars were an option, I’d best choose that one. Irene is extremely unprofessional. She is no where to be found and refuses to return phone calls and emails. She is of no help when it comes to correcting her mistakes while preparing taxes. Stay far away from this business! She cost my husband and I thousands with the IRS due to filing false claims. Irene left us in an extremely compromising situation. After her being our accountant for years, she just stopped returning phone calls and emails. What an awful experience and way to treat your clients. Unacceptable and unprofessional are the two best adjectives to describe Irene. You should be ashamed of yourself. It took 7 months of ongoing calls and emails with no response. We ended up having to file a complaint against her and her business. Take these reviews seriously and run far away. Save yourself the time, energy and money and give your business elsewhere."

"I owe NJ $650 because she made an input error. I'm honestly not even mad about the mistake, if she would have taken ANY responsibility for it, I wouldn't be writing this review. She made up a complete story about how the state retroactively changed their tax rate for NJ in 2021 because of COVID and they did an internal audit and now they are coming for my money. I am being charged $150 in interest on the mistake. That is unacceptable. I went to an accountant because I feel much more confident in their ability to do my taxes and if something were off, at least they could help me understand. Well - the only thing that happened was, I paid her $100 and she took my money, and now I owe the state because of her mistake. The mistake is clear, she entered my Federal Income in the State Income line. That discrepancy is what I now have to pay taxes on. Like I mentioned, the mistake was probably an honest one, but the lie she made up when I went back to her for clarification is why I am so upset. Please skip her! Do Turbo Tax, at least you can blame yourself if you make a mistake and not feel like you were taken advantage of."

"I Couldn’t tell you to RUN any faster AWAY from this business they do not care about you as a customer. Obviously, from the screenshot of the conversation with the woman herself, the “proud owner”,of this tax firm. ALLLLLLLLL they care about is what they need to do in order to obtain the nominal fee. I’ve been using her for the past three years, last year it came after SEVEN MONTHS! This year?! STILL HAVENT RECEIVED!!!!!! Wasn’t going to receive it unless I called a million times and left emails texts etc. because of a pin that I’ve neeeded every year…. Why wasn’t I contacted when my forms were brought in? This is beyond disgusting, especially in today’s economy, Everyone is struggling!"
